Why the Ads

For those of you that have been visiting here for a while, you will notice that I recently put up Google ads on the site and are probably wondering why. I have had a couple of emails about it so I thought I would put it out there for everyone. I have been running this site now for about 3 years without any type of ads because I did not want to give the impression that this site was “for profit” – because it is not.

The cost of running this site is minimal and something I have always been willing to pay to get information to consumers about Wildblue, hopefully before they buy! The second goal of this site is to gather Wildblue customers that have been lied to about the service, etc., in hopes to eventually amass a class action lawsuit against them in order to change their business practices.

There is a lot that goes into this and due to the fact that all the good attorneys are in major metro areas (where WildBlue obviously does not have significant reach), it is hard to find an attorney to take on the class. This has led me to have to utilize additional resources to try to find an attorney to take it on. This costs money and rather than putting big donation buttons on the site, I opted for Google advertising. Every time one of the links is clicked on, the advertiser pays google and google in turn pays me a portion of that. Hopefully, these ads will help offset my additional expenses until we can find an attorney to take on the case.
